Domestic violence fatality and suicide in Sevilla

The body of a 55 year old woman, named with the initials RGR, has been found in her house in Sevilla, showing signs of violence, and five minutes later her husband committed suicide by jumping to his death from a nearby building. His was 57 and had the initials VDJ. It appears to be a new case of domestic violence, according to the emergency services. They were alerted by the couple’s 18 year old son who found the body of his mother in the lounge when he got home to the flat in Calle Cisneo Alto. Alerted by his screams, a neighbour called 112 at 1.45am on Sunday. Local and National Police and health professionals went to the scene where the woman was certified to have died. Then no more than 5 five minutes later there was another 112 call saying a man was laying on the ground, apparently dead, in a street just round the corner, Calle Rafael Cansinos Assens. It seems the husband had jumped to his death from the roof of a building.
